We are currently looking for a Chartered Accountant to join our vibrant, diverse team of international experts. Please note that this is a full-time remote contractor position and you will be responsible for managing taxes based on the regulations in your country. Availability according to GMT is highly preferred. As our Chartered Accountant , your primary focus will be to oversee and manage our financial operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in financial planning, reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with national and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements (GAAP and IFRS), Assist finance team with bookkeeping whilst maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the finances, Processing online payments and reconciling bank statements, Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities to support decision-making and planning processes, Prepare and file income tax and sales tax returns ensuring that all information is accurate and in compliance with local tax laws (US, EU, UK, UAE and Australia) Manage tax planning and tax issues and ensure compliance. Monitor and manage cash flow, and assess and mitigate financial risks, Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis, Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, Participate in company restructuring, acquisitions, and mergers, Liaise with external accountants, auditors and vendors, Develop and maintain internal controls, Perform other tasks as required. Requirements Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification is a plus), Expert knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, Accounting experience in an e-commerce DTC environment, Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, Experience in financial statement preparation and audit support, Knowledge of risk management and internal controls, Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
